Miami Air International

Born on August 1990 the airline started operations in October 1991. In the beginning, it only had the Boeing 727-200 aircraft leased from the Xerox Credit Corporation at its disposal. George Lyall was the Chairman of the airlines and Ross Fischer was it's President. Incentive groups, sports teams, Fortune 500 companies, major cruise lines, entertainers, political candidates and the United States government itself are among Miami's customers. Under the Civil Reserve Air Fleet (CRAF) program, Miami Air transports troops and cargo for the Air Force Air Mobility Command (USAF AMC). By the year 2000 the company had developed to own 8 Boeing 727 aircrafts and funds amounting to more than $100 million. The company's Boeing 727s were converted by its major shareholder, Eagle Global Logistics, to cargo aircrafts, which were to operate at its cargo hub in Austin, Texas under the name of Quest International. New Boeing 737-800s were also deployed in service after that.

Miami Air International is based in Miami, USA. It operates services for the Florida based sports teams and also for the United States military department. Miami International Airport is its main base. Miami Air International also has hubs at the following locations:
  • John F. Kennedy International Airport, New York
  • Washington Dulles International Airport
  • O'Hare International Airport, Chicago
  • Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport
  • Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport
After the 11th September, 2001 terrorist attacks on the twin towers of the Pentagon the lease rates and the values of B727s increased abruptly. By 2005 the Miami Air's passenger business flourished and the company grew to own 8 Boeing 737-800s and 2 passenger Boeing 727s.During 2005 one of the TSI Holdings expressed a wish to purchase the entire company and took over the other EGL consortium and remaining original shareholders. Today, Miami air represents one of the world's largest customer friendly airlines service. Boeing 737-400s operate worldwide covering every continent except Antarctica and it takes off from more airfields every year than any other US carrier.

At present the Miami Air International fleet includes:7 Boeing 737-800 and 2 Boeing 737-400. With its exceptional hospitality, comfortable seating arrangements, affordable tickets as well as flight schedules to suit everyone Miami Air International has grown to become one of the best in the aviation industry.
